Phoenix Chorale is looking for a suitably qualified and experienced Director of Music to continue to develop the choir’s musical and vocal technical abilities. Phoenix Chorale is a non-auditioning choir formed in 2011 which now has a membership of 45-50 experienced SATB singers who enjoy singing sacred and secular choral music from baroque to modern day and perform on average two concerts a year. Recent programmes have included Arnesen’s Magnificat, Rutter’s Magnificat and The Armed Man by Karl Jenkins, as well as Handel’s Messiah, folk songs and spirituals. •  Preferably you will be a singer and have experience of                 working  with choral groups

Phoenix Chorale invites applications for the post of Director of Music, which is tenable on an annually renewable contractual basis from September 2019. A stipend will be set at a competitive rate per rehearsal and for concerts.
